About Bad Piggies

Bad Piggies is a physics puzzle game in which you build makeshift vehicles for a group of mischievous pigs. Your task is to design a contraption that carries the pig to the finish line, using a limited set of parts. It is a game of experimentation, humour and creativity. This page explains how it works and gives advice.

The premise

The pigs want to reach a goal, such as a map or a treasure, but they need a vehicle. You get a grid on which you place crates, wheels, engines, propellers and other parts. When you press start, the contraption runs by itself, and you watch whether it succeeds. If it fails, you return to the grid, make changes and try again.

Parts and mechanics

Wheels provide movement, engines give power, and fans or propellers can push or lift. Soda bottles act as small rockets, and umbrellas or balloons can slow descents. Springs and boxing gloves add bounce and force. Understanding what each part does is the heart of the game. Sometimes a small change, such as moving a wheel by one square, completely changes the result.

Level goals

Each level has a main objective, usually reaching a finish area. There are also optional goals, such as collecting stars, finding hidden items or completing the level quickly. These make replaying levels worthwhile. Some levels focus on vehicles that move on the ground, while others require flying or floating.

Building techniques

Keep your design simple at first. Place heavy parts low to avoid tipping. Make sure wheels are attached on a solid base. If the vehicle flips, try adding a wider base or moving the engine. Use a few fans or bottles instead of many, since too many can cause instability. Watch the first seconds of each test carefully to see where the problem starts.

Learning from failure

Failure is part of the fun. The pigs often crash in funny ways, and each failure teaches you something. Think about the forces involved: where is the weight, where is the push and where is the support? This gentle introduction to engineering thinking is one of the most appealing parts of the game.

Sandbox and creativity

The game includes sandbox modes in which you can build freely without a specific objective. These are good for testing ideas and for children who enjoy creating. You can design large machines and see how they behave.

Humour and presentation

The art style is cartoonish and the pigs are entertaining. The mood is light, with no serious violence. It is suitable for all ages.

What it costs

The game may be free with advertisements and optional purchases, or offered in a paid version, depending on the store listing. Check the details before installing.

Is it for you?

It suits players who like puzzles, building and tinkering. It may be less appealing to those who want fast action.

Closing view

Bad Piggies rewards curiosity and patient experimentation. Start simple, learn the function of each part and enjoy the comic results of every design.
